The centrifuge is a common separation instrument in the laboratory, which is widely used in biomedicine, petrochemical industry, agriculture, food hygiene and other fields. Since the centrifuge was introduced, it has undergone changes in low speed, adjustment, and overspeed. Its progress is mainly reflected in two aspects of centrifugal equipment and centrifugal skills, which complement each other. From the perspective of speed, tabletop centrifuges basically belong to the field of low-speed and high-speed centrifuges. The development of general-purpose tabletop centrifuges has blurred the boundaries of low-speed, high-speed, micro and large-capacity centrifuges. The range has become the model of choice for scientific research laboratories.
Precautions for the use of automatic centrifuge
1. When the centrifuge is in the pre-cooled state, it is necessary to close the centrifuge cover. After centrifugation is completed, take it back and put it upside down on the test stand to wipe off the remaining water in the chamber. The centrifuge cover is in the open state.
2. The head cover can be placed on the platform of the centrifuge or the test stand during pre-cooling, and it must not be tightened and floated on the head, because the head cover will fly out once it is activated by mistake. Cause an accident!
3. After tightening the back cover, you must use your fingers to touch the gap between the back cover and the rotating cover. If there is a gap, unscrew and re-tighten until the seamless gap is confirmed before the centrifuge can be started.
4. During the centrifugation process, the operator must not leave the centrifuge room. Once an abnormal situation occurs, the operator cannot turn off the power (POWER) and press STOP. Fill in the centrifuge use record before pre-cooling.
5. Do not use fake or inferior centrifuge tubes, or use aging, deformed or cracked centrifuge tubes.
6. The bottom of the centrifuge casing should be padded with cotton or test tube pad.
7. If there is noise or vibration of the electric centrifuge, the power should be cut off immediately to eliminate the fault immediately.
8. It is necessary to put the centrifuge tube into the sleeve symmetrically to prevent the vibration of the fuselage. If only one sample tube is needed, the other one should be replaced with equal quality water.
9. When starting the centrifuge, the top cover of the centrifuge should be covered before it can be started gradually.
10. After the separation is completed, first close the centrifuge. After the centrifuge stops rotating, you can open the centrifuge lid and take out the sample. You cannot use force to stop the movement.
11. The centrifuge tubes must be well balanced. Pay attention to the azimuth balance when putting in the rotor. Be sure not to exceed the maximum speed of the centrifuge or rotor.
12. The centrifuge can only be detached after reaching the preset speed; if there is any abnormality, it must be stopped immediately.
13. Generally, you can know whether the centrifugal condition is normal by listening to the sound, and you can also pay attention to the sensation of the centrifuge.
14. After using samples of high-salt solutions such as ammonium sulfate, the rotor must be cleaned and the centrifuge chamber must be cleaned.
15. The ultra-high-speed centrifuge is more complicated due to its high speed, and it needs additional special practice before it can be used.
